What are the benefits of an Employee Assistance Program?

An EAP-funded psychology session works to support an employee’s emotional and psychological well-being. Having this type of support can result in higher employee productivity, fewer sick days and reduced staff turnover, benefitting both the employer and employee.

EAP can also lead to early intervention of major concerns such as depression and anxiety, leading to reduced worker’s compensation and other medical costs.

What is an Employee Assistance Program or EAP?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) works with and supports employees in relation to both work-related and personal concerns. An EAP provides employees with employer funded psychology sessions in order to provide the support and early intervention necessary to limit impact on job performance and mental health.

Unless otherwise specified by the employer, this EAP service also extends to immediate family members of the employee as well. Support provided by EAP’s is not limited to work-related concerns, it can include support for anxiety, depression, relationship/family issues, trauma and substance abuse.

Here at Clear Health Psychology, all of our EAP funded psychology services are conducted in-house at our various practices locations across Perth, WA, so we can promptly action all issues. We do not subcontract, so all of our procedures and policies are in-house. We are also registered for NDIS and adhere to all the policies and requirements required for accreditation.

What are Clear Health Psychology’s points of difference for EAP?

We are a private psychology practice where the owners and directors work directly with your staff.

If your employees require additional psychology sessions after they have completed their EAP funded sessions, they can transition as a private client. Medicare rebates under the Mental Health Care plan are $89.65 for a psychologist and $131.65 for a clinical psychologist. This enables your staff members continuity of care and the opportunity to continue to work through issues (now or at a later date) with the same psychologist if they wish.

Your employees will see the same psychologist each time.

We only have qualified and highly skilled psychologists with our practice who have carefully been selected by our owner Dr Maxine Hawkins.

We charge no management & administration fees.

We currently have 16 conveniently located practices in Perth; Floreat, Hillarys, Mt Lawley, Subiaco, Fremantle, Currambine, Ellenbrook, Victoria Park, Alkimos, Osborne Park, Ballajura, Warwick, Booragoon, Woodvale, South Perth and Mandurah. All of our sites have free street parking and several of our practices have disabled access and are near major public transport routes.

We have a dedicated administration team who are able to assist with easy and confidential communication between workers and our team members at our Clear Health Psychology practices. We ensure the process is as comfortable as possible for our EAP clients.

Our psychologists provide practical, effective and confidential support to children, adolescents, adults, families and couples.

We adhere strictly to AHPRA operating guidelines as well as the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics. These codes cover clinical governance and confidentiality processes.

We have both male and female psychologists.

Your staff can go onto our website to read the profiles of the psychologist and make a request. Alternatively, our intake team members are highly skilled at matching staff and psychologists together.

Your staff will know whom they are being appointed with and where they need to go rather than being sent across Perth.

We only use evidenced-based approaches.

The HR team will be able to contact a Clear Health Psychology Manager to discuss sensitive issues if and when they may arise.

Clinical supervision and clinical governance is managed by Clear Health Psychology Clinical Directors.

The psychologists are fully supported by an administration team which enables fast access to appointments and support to your staff if changes to times are required to be made.

We use the latest technology to ensure easy communication between your staff and our admin team.

We can customise our EAP programs to address the needs of your organisation.
