Clinical Psychologist
Shelah is an experienced and AHPRA registered Clinical Psychologist, HCPC-UK registered Educational Psychologist and board approved Supervisor with AHPRA. Shelah is experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, couples, families and groups.

Shelah draws on her training and expertise working across different age groups, cultures and settings to help others to heal from past negative experiences and trauma, become more aware of current ineffective patterns of behaviour and thinking, empowering them to develop new ways of thinking and coping with current and future difficulties.

Shelah commenced her work as a Psychologist working in Schools in the WA Education Department and spent many years providing support to effect the best outcomes for students, their families and the school as an organisation. This service was provided in a multi systemic way and included individual and group assessment and intervention. One area of interest was training and coaching staff in the provision of classroom meditation and mindfulness programs.

Her compassionate, mindfulness-based approach incorporates the use of research-based strategies including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
  • Emotion Focussed Therapy
  • Meditation and Mindfulness
  • Group training and facilitation
  • Behavioural coping strategies such as Assertiveness training.

Shelah has over 30 years experience working with a broad range of individuals, couples, families and groups across a variety of settings and believes that the foundation for helping others is compassion and that everyone has the potential to achieve peace of mind no matter what their circumstances.

Shelah runs her own independent practice and engages Clear Health Psychology to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide assessment and treatment to her clients.

Appointment duration:  51 minutes

Sessions rates:

Individuals: $260.00 per appointment

Couples: $280.00 per appointment

 

Medicare rebate is available with a Mental Health Care Plan for individual appointments. 

Cancellation Policy: Appointments are precious and we appreciate you giving at least 24 hours notice if you cannot attend. For cancellations under 24 hours, 50% of the session rate will apply with no Medicare rebate.

 

Please note: Shelah does not accept appointments for clients under the age of 18 years old or family sessions.
