Kayla Selby

Kayla is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a curious and holistic approach to psychology.
She is passionate about creating a warm and empathetic therapeutic environment where her clients can feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore their experiences, overcome their difficulties, and create meaningful positive changes.

Kayla is focussed on working in a client-centred and collaborative manner. She draws from various evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and tailors her therapeutic approach to suit her client’s specific needs, values, and goals.

Kayla has predominantly worked in the education and disability sectors across metropolitan and rural communities, providing support to children, adolescents, and families. She has experience working with a range of psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, adjustment and trauma, grief and loss, interpersonal conflict, neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders, and personality disorders.

Kayla’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours from Curtin University and a Masters of Applied Psychology from Murdoch University.
