As a Lecturer at Curtin University, Jason teaches psychotherapy to postgraduate Clinical Psychology Trainees according to multiple psychotherapy orientations. He also conducts trainings in EFT for both individuals and couples therapy through my institute, the Western Australian Institute for Emotion Focused Therapy (see waiEFT.com.au).
Dr Sharbanee has 16 years of clinical experience working in mental health. Jason’s clinical practice is based on Emotion-Focused Therapy and he has extensive experience in EFT, following over 10 years of training and supervision with the principal developer of the approach, Leslie Greenberg. He is also currently engaged in the development of the EFT through various ongoing research collaborations. In addition he has experience and training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic therapy.
In therapy, Jason focuses on transforming the core underlying emotions that underpin most mental health difficulties, and do so within a safe and empathic relationship. Jason works with couples and offers individual appointments for clients aged 15 + years.
Jason runs his own independent practice and engages Clear Health Psychology to provide administrative and other business services to enable him to provide assessment and treatment to his clients.

Sessions Rates:
Individuals: $260 per appointment
Medicare rebate is available with a Mental Health Care Plan for individual appointments.
Cancellation Policy: Appointments are precious and we appreciate you giving at least 24 hours notice if you cannot attend. For cancellations under 24 hours, 50% of the session rate will apply with no Medicare rebate.
Please note: Jason does not accept appointments for clients under the age of 15 years old.
