Gabbie is warm, caring and welcoming. She utilises a strengths-based perspective to support her clients find their best way forward. In her work with older children, adolescents and adults she also incorporates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative therapy and Systemic family therapy. She engages younger children with play therapy.
She is also able to conduct psychometric and behaviour assessments as part of understanding children’s learning needs and behavioural presentation within the school setting.
Gabbie utilises evidence-based strategies to support her clients find their way through life’s difficulties to ultimately enjoy deeper, more satisfying relationships and greater wellbeing.
Gabbie has worked extensively with children, adolescents, parents and families in a variety of government and private settings including schools, foster and residential care, adoption services, court diversion programmes, sexual abuse support services, substance misuse and addiction treatment, women’s health, and parenting support.
She is experienced in providing individual, couples and family therapy. Her most recent experience is working with adolescent boys. In addition, she has designed and delivered parenting workshops, child protection training, and wellbeing programs.
Gabbie holds a Master of Psychology, is registered with AHPRA and is a member of the APS.
Gabbie runs her own independent practice and engages Clear Health Psychology to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide assessment and treatment to her clients. Appointments are for 51 minutes at a rate of $195 and can attract a Medicare rebate with a Mental Health Care Plan. Appointments are precious and we appreciate you giving at least 24 hours notice if you can’t attend, otherwise 50% of the full fee will apply with no Medicare rebate.
