Elisa is passionate about working with a broad range of mental health issues across the lifespan and is dedicated to helping clients understand their difficulties, cultivate hopefulness and readiness for change, and to live according to their values. She is particularly interested in helping adolescents and adults to navigate life transitions, stressful work environments and relationship issues.
Elisa has training in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, schema therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and behaviourist therapy models.
She treats a range of presentations including:

- Parenting and family relationship issues
- Clients undergoing bariatric surgery
- Adolescent concerns
- Child therapy
- Work related problems
- Trauma (including road accidents)
- Communication issues
- Grief and loss
- Personality disorders
- Clients who hear voices

Elisa has previously worked as a school psychologist, in youth counselling, with clients who hear voices, and in adult outpatient mental health. She has also worked as a psychologist in aged care in metro and rural settings. While most of her work has focused on individual and group sessions, she has also coordinated and run workshops for parents using the Triple P parenting framework, has run professional development workshops for staff, and has co-facilitated group therapy programs such as dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) for adults.
Research and Academic Background:
Elisa completed her Masters of Applied Psychology (Clinical) in 2018 at Murdoch University. She previously completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology (2010) and Diploma of Education (School Psychology) (2011) from The University of Western Australia. Elisa’s research interests include childhood obesity, perinatal depression and parent-child attachment. Most recently, her research (published in 2019) focused on exploring relationships between mother’s mental health during and post pregnancy, and young children’s social and emotional development.
Elisa runs her own independent practice and engages Clear Health Psychology to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide assessment and treatment to her clients. Appointments are for 51 minutes at a rate of $260 and can attract a Medicare rebate with a Mental Health Care Plan.
