Nichola has worked previously in disability services, adult mental health, university counselling clinics and also sessional teaching at the university level.
Over her career she has developed a particular interest in the stress, anxiety and overwhelm experienced with clients particularly in life transition and change. Nichola has an open, easily engaging style and draws from a number of therapeutic frameworks.
Nichola utilises a Humanistic perspective to counselling which emphasizes the whole person and the uniqueness of each individual. She uses empirically validated treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-focused therapy and Schema Therapy.
Nichola works with adult clients within the following areas:
- Anxiety, including phobias, generalised anxiety and panic.
- Overwhelm, stress and emotional difficulties
- Self regulation
- Depression and associated issues
- Relationship and Attachment Issues
- Family of Origin issues
- Life transition and adjustment difficulties
- ADHD psychological diagnosis and Management (no medication).
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Psychology (University of Western Australia, 1995).
Master of Clinical Psychology (Murdoch University, 1999)
Doctor of Philosophy, PhD (Edith Cowan University, 2019).
Nichola runs her own independent practice and engages Clear Health Psychology to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide assessment and treatment to her clients.

Sessions rates:
Individuals: $265.00 per appointment
Medicare rebate is available with a Mental Health Care Plan for individual appointments.
Cancellation Policy: Appointments are precious and we appreciate you giving at least 24 hours notice if you cannot attend. For cancellations under 24 hours, 50% of the session rate will apply with no Medicare rebate.
