Donna is a Registered Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner’s Agency (AHPRA) and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Donna has over 15 years of experience counselling people from various ages and has worked in private practice, school settings and a variety of counselling organisations. She has completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology at Edith Cowan University with her Undergraduate in Family and Children Studies and the Diploma of Education (School Psychology) at University of Western Australia.

Donna creates a relaxed and trusting environment so children and adolescents can feel safe talking about their worries, life stressors, mental health, emotions, trauma, and sexuality. She uses a variety of therapeutic tools and approaches including mindfulness-based strategies, visual and interactive therapeutic tools and play therapy to help them learn new skills and coping strategies.   Working with trauma she works from a trauma focused approach and offers eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR) for children and adolescents to help them process their trauma.

Working with adults she provides a friendly, safe and relaxed therapeutic environment to support people who are experiencing many of life stressors or mental health issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, family and relationship changes and difficulties, stress and worry. She works together with the client, working in their own time to make changes, build on their strengths and to help improve their overall wellbeing.

Donna is trained in range of a range of evidence based interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused- CBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (adults, Adolescent and Children), Solution Focused Therapy, She is also trained in Triple P Positive Parenting and Circle of Security Parenting programs and is a registered counsellor with the Department of Communities to undertake counselling with children who are in care and have experienced trauma.

Donna runs her own independent practice and engages Clear Health Psychology to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide assessment and treatment to her clients. Appointments are for 51 minutes at a rate of $210.00 and can attract a Medicare rebate with a Mental Health Care Plan.

Appointments are precious and we appreciate you giving at least 24 hours notice if you can’t attend, otherwise 50% of the full fee will apply with no Medicare rebate.
