Registered Psychologist
Debbie’s approach is one of warmth and collaboration. She aims to provide her clients with a safe space where they have the opportunity to explore, grow and heal. She provides both in person sessions and telehealth.

Debbie is a generally registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds full membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi). She has a Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology. She has over six years of experience in mental health and is passionate about helping people improve their mental health.

Debbie also has experience with Bariatric Surgery Reports and Fitness for Work Assessments.

Her approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that every individual has unique strengths and resources to harness to overcome their challenges. Debbie utilizes a person-centred strengths-based approach and evidence-based treatments in providing care for her clients, including:

  • Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)
  • Solution-focused therapy (SFT)

Debbie is also currently training to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy to her clients.

Originally from South Africa, Debbie moved to Australia in 2019. She has experience working in the not-for-profit and private sectors, including EAP, providing critical incident response and fitness for work assessments. She has experience working with culturally diverse clients, FIFO (fly-in-fly-out) workers, and their family members.

While Debbie is dedicated to helping people improve their mental health, she does not work with children or provide family sessions. Her focus is on providing support to individual adults.

Debbie runs her own independent practice and engages Clear Health Psychology to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide assessment and treatment to her clients.

Sessions rates:

Individuals: $205.00 per appointment

Saturday Appointments: $215.00 per appointment

Telehealth: Yes

Medicare rebate is available with a Mental Health Care Plan for individual appointments. 

Cancellation Policy: Appointments are precious and we appreciate you giving at least 24 hours notice if you can not attend. For cancellations under 24 hours, 50% of the session rate will apply with no Medicare rebate.

Please note: Debbie does not accept bookings for clients under the age of 18 years old, couples or family sessions.
