Registered Psychologist
Casey has significant experience working with children, adolescents and families across government and non-government organisations.

Casey has held various positions in both individual psychological consultation and leadership roles. These include residential care, the Health Department WA Child, Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), clinical planning for youth mental health services within Health Dept WA, individual psychological consultation for headspace, and acting in leadership and supervisory roles for a Curriculum and Re-engagement Education (CARE) school, and most recently for headspace Providing field and clinical supervision to clinical staff, graduates, and students across three service locations.

Casey has worked extensively with vulnerable young people and their families both in New Zealand and Australia. In the course of her work with the Health Department of WA, she was part of the Multisystemic Therapy Team treating children, young people and their families who have experienced intergenerational and complex trauma, and subsequently worked with serious psychological and behavioural concerns.

During her years with headspace she has worked with young people and their families presenting to the service with various psychological concerns from mild to complex; including working with young people experiencing suicidal thoughts, risk taking behaviour and academic risk.  Over the years this has led to Casey supervising teams to address the complex psychological concerns the most vulnerable families in society experience.

Casey uses a variety of evidence-based modalities; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Therapeutic Crisis intervention, systems theory, Motivational Interviewing, Solihull Approach, interpersonal therapy and EMDR. Casey is a Board Approved Supervisor and is able to supervise psychologists completing their 5+1 internship, and support students in placements. Casey has previously been involved in a Supervisor Advisory group as part of the expansion for the Early Career Program roll out through headspace National.
