Dr Rebecca Chau

Clinical Psychologist Registrar

Rebecca Chau is a Clinical Psychology Registrar, is registered with AHPRA, and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).

Rebecca’s doctoral research investigated the risk factors for depression among older adults living in residential aged care. She is therefore very experienced working with life-stage issues for older adults in aged care and the challenges they face. Her research highlighted the different ways in which older adults can effect change in low mood, including through sleep interventions, improving specific types of social relationships, increasing a sense of mastery, and working on a sense of meaning and purpose in life--despite the challenges of aging.

Rebecca is passionate about working with older adults to improve their mental health and sense of wellbeing while they are living in aged care.
