Sexual health is important for everyone’s physical and psychological well-being. Having positive sexual health involves not only looking after your physical well-being, but also includes the right to healthy and respectful relationships, access to health services that are safe and inclusive, and living your life free from discrimination, stigma, coercion and violence. Sometimes the negative events we experience can create barriers to positive sexual health, impact our self-esteem, and prompt internal conflict, having a detrimental effect on our psychological well-being.
By the time Christmas day has come there have been 1001 tasks that have needed to be marked off the list. At this time of year adults and children are often tired and limping to the finishing line. That finishing line is Christmas, which is often linked with a “break” or holiday.

Men are well known for keeping things bottled up. They have been taught to be stoic, “be a man”, conform to this ‘man-code’ of behaviour that says you must fix everything on your own. 2 Self-reliance can be isolating and at times not helpful. Self-reliance and creating emotional isolation can reduce the likelihood of a man talking to mates or loved ones about things that are troubling.

Some people display consistently low or flat mood while others may not be able to enjoy once enjoyable aspects of life. If you are depressed, keep in mind that you are not alone. Depression is an extremely common issue. Approximately 20 percent of the population may experience a depressive episode at least once in their life.
Do you worry too much about life events such as work, health or relationships?
Worry and anxiety can make you feel uneasy and effect your concentration, sleep, memory and confidence. You may be unable to relax or enjoy once enjoyable activities. Excessive worry also leads us to being indecisive and doubt ourselves.
Learning to tame anxiety can be an amazing relief for the anxious person. Learning to tone down their anxiety to enable them to be in control of it rather than feeling controlled by it is very possible.
