Aleeza Morris-Lynch is a Clinical Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Aleeza works with adults and adolescents in the areas of anxiety, mood disorders (includes depression), trauma and stressor-related disorders, adjustment issues, grief and loss, substance use and addictive behaviours, and chronic disease and pain management. She is especially interested in the management of anxiety disorders and eating disorders, and schema-focused work (Schema Therapy). She is currently undertaking specialised (ISST) training towards Schema Therapy accreditation.
She has undertaken training in various evidence-based psychological treatment approaches including: Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (includes Mindfulness), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. Aleeza can undertake formal psychological assessments for the determination of cognitive functioning and assist clients presenting WorkCover and Insurance Commission of WA claims. She is eligible to provide clinical psychology services under Medicare.
Clinical experience and background
Aleeza completed her undergraduate and postgraduate psychology training at Edith Cowan University. After obtaining general registration, she completed a two-year Board approved registrar program in Clinical Psychology. Aleeza is committed to continuing professional development and ethical practice. Aleeza has worked for the past four years in private practice, assisting clients across the lifespan with a range of presenting problems. Aleeza has experience treating relationship and family issues, managing childhood behavioural problems, and assisting clients with personality dysfunction.
